About Mel:
I’m a late twentysomething just trying to survive in the suburbs of DC, attempting to make awesome food in a not-so-awesome kitchen. I’m constantly dreaming about food, recipes, and flavor combinations. One day, I’d like to open my own small restaurant with local, organic and sustainable foods, where people come after a long hard day at the office because they know the atmosphere and good food will brighten their moods.
Adventures, hijinks and hilarity are forth coming.
About Foodie Cat:
Foodie Cat is my constant companion in the kitchen. She sits at my feet, meows loudly for me to feed her (even though her food is already in her bowl), and pouts when I don’t toss down a piece of chicken or carrots for her to nosh on.
About Barfy Cat:
Barfy Cat is…well, barfy. And when she’s not barfing, she’s way too sweet to be mad at her
for long. Most of my blogs are written with her cuddled up in my lap, head resting on my arm as I type. Unlike Foodie Cat, Barfy Cat does not eat people food.
